If you have ever been a part of the Bingo scene in the UK then there is no way you haven't heard about Mecca. For a company that is known for pioneering the game to all of the UK they certainly took their time to launch a virtual version of their world. Mecca Bingo did not make its way into the online scene until 2005. While we think this is odd we still can't wait to see what they came up with.

The games themselves are delivered using a custom software platform that is non-downloading in design. This means that the games will stream to you from the site rather than having to install on your computer. The advantages to having custom software include that Mecca is able to provide something no one else has. This is different from a site that is part of a larger network. During our trial we found that the platform worked very well, but did not offer all the little touches that some rivals have perfected. Many of the games in the Bingo area have freeplay, but this perk does not extend to Mecca's 90-ball Bingo. This is a little sad as that is what most people want to try the most. We found the site to be pleasantly busy every time we logged in and enjoyed the effect that had on the chat options. While you're here, make sure you check out the progressive jackpots. We were very excited to see that Mecca offers its games to Mac players as well as PC. We realize that Mac users are in the minority of computers out there, but they still deserve a chance to play. However when we tried to make this dream a reality we found it to be more of a nightmare. Even after trying several combinations of browsers and systems we found no way to run a game using a Mac. When we contacted customer support on this matter they were wonderful. But, no matter what advice they gave there was just no success to be had. After several long phone calls to the support agents we learned that Mecca is fully aware of this issue and is doing their best to get things fixed. It is nice to hear that they can at least acknowledge the problem. That is a huge first step to getting anything done about it.

There is a $10 incentive to new players when they invest $10 of their own into their on site-accounts. As of now this was the only promotion we could find on the site. Admittedly this area is a bit skimpy and needs some love and attention from Mecca.

At the end of the day, the question always is, would we send you to Mecca to spend your Bingo bucks. The answer to this would be yes, on all fronts. The site showed a few areas needed improvement, but we have faith in the company and their standards. Mecca Bingo is a solid name the gives players a solid game of 90-ball Bingo.
